While Jesus and His apostles used passages like this to inspire and motivate believers, our evangelical culture has made it taboo. We’re afraid of broaching the subject of “eternal rewards” for fear of creeping into a works-based mentality, but we must not neglect the clear teaching of scripture on this critical topic (Matthew 5:12, Luke 6:23, Revelation 22:12, Philippians 3:14, Matthew 6:27, Luke 19:15, 1 Corinthians 3:8). Christ has purchased salvation for us through His blood. We don’t add to it, but out of joy and thanksgiving we “work out [our] salvation with fear and trembling; because it is God who is at work in [us], both to will and to work for His good pleasure.” – Philippians 2:12-13
Out of His great mercy alone, He promises to pay us back for the works that He is doing through us.

Not every Christian is called into formal, full-time ministry, but every Believer in Christ is called to steward their lives in ways that bring Glory to God. As a business man or woman, God has called you to use the gifts He’s given you to expand His Kingdom, be it your intellect, position or network.
Having been called as sons and daughters of our heavenly Father, it is now our great joy to use our lives for His glory, with the hope of one day hearing these comforting words as we stand before His throne. The Barnabas Group Partners leverage their marketplace experience, skills and strengths for the benefit of ministries and the Kingdom. We connect and network with ministries to learn about one another, share ideas and determine best practices.

The Barnabas Group is collaborative – not competitive. At any given meeting, you’ll find like-minded Partners who have a heart to serve in the same category as you, providing peer-to-peer collaboration.

The Barnabas Group focuses on presenting opportunities that fit your individual talents, gifting, network and resources. TBG is not ‘donor driven’ – there are no development people – it is Partner funded through annual Partner donations and there are never direct appeals for funds at Barnabas meetings.
Most of the ministries that present are introduced to us by Barnabas Partners. We go through an in-depth vetting process for each ministry that we are considering; ensuring that they are Christ-centered, have strong leadership and know where they’re going.
Our Partners enable us to deliver hundreds of thousands of dollars in pro-bono services and consulting to various ministries and projects across the world and allows The Barnabas Group to expand in the future, both in the local chapter and nationwide.
